**Welcome Back** Author GARY STARTA** INTERVIEW #2

It is with great pleasure, and an honor to welcome back Author Gary
Starta.
Author of: "BLOOD WEB" 5Star Review
Author of: "MURDER BY ASSOCIATION"
Genre: Mystery/thriller
INTERVIEW #2
Geri: Is writing a passion, stress-reliever, or both?
Gary: It is both, which may sound sort of strange. I guess you
could compare it to exercising. You may be exerting
yourself, totally enraptured in the passion of writing,
much like exercising. But at the same time, you are
relieving pent-up energy, thoughts, and concerns. Your
mind is in motion, instead of your body.
Geri: Do you write everyday?
Gary: I may write down notes, regularly. However, due to my
schedule, I prefer writing on weekends, setting specific
time aside.
Geri: How many book-signings have you been to?
Gary: None yet. I guess in the small press world, where Ebooks
are sometimes more common than print books, the
physical mortar and brick store is not the end, all be
all.
Geri: How do you promote your book?
Gary: I post a lot about my books, i.e. the synopsis, any reviews.
Also use promotional services off the internet when
available. In addition, I print up postcards and make
magnets for whenever I venture away from the computer,
into the real world.
Geri: What factors place you in the comfort zone of writing?
Gary: A quiet atmosphere. That's pretty much it. As long as
I can stay in my head, without too much external
interruptions.
Geri: Have you written books in different genres?
Gary: Yes. That really interests me. While "MURDER BY
ASSOCIATION" is a mystery/crime novel, a book like
BLOOD WEB for example, is science fiction.
Geri: Have you written a series, and or a sequel for one title?
Gary: The books BLOOD WEB and EXTREME LIQUIDATION
are part of a series, featuring Special Agent Caitlin
Diggs. A third book is written, awaiting placement.
Geri: What has inspired you the most to write?
Gary: A huge interest in science fiction, from robots to aliens,
and a crossover into fantasy with an interest in non-
human earthbound creatures, such as vampires and
incubi.
Geri: It is great to have you back, among many talented
authors. Your work is incredible, and I wish you
much success. Thank you for your time.
Gary: You're welcome.

**INTERVIEW #3 with Author LYNDA COKER**

It is a great honor, and a pleasure to interview Author Lynda Coker
today.
Author of: "THE OCEAN BETWEEN" 5Star Review
INTERVIEW
Geri: What motivates you to write?
Lynda: I see, hear, or imagine something that lingers and annoys
me, until I start to give it a substance. Then I fall into my
own creation. I'm hooked. I have to write the story.
Geri: Has TV ever inspired you to write about a certain topic?
Lynda: No, to be honest. I'm not much of a TV watcher.
Geri: Do you believe that the cover of a book can draw the reader
in faster to the story?
Lynda: Oh, Yes! Covers are like portals to another world. They give
you a glimpse of what's in store, if you're brave enough
to take the journey.
Geri: Is writing a passion, a stress-reliever, or both?
Lynda: Both, and sometimes it's a stress-creator, as well. I'm a
writer who tries to write from the inside-out. That is,
getting into the heads of my characters, standing in
their shoes, and feeling what they feel. So I experience
all kinds of emotions, which can be stressful, but always
thrilling.
Geri: What factors place you in the comfort zone while writing?
Lynda: Being alone, quiet, and focused. A hot, sweet cup of Earl
Grey and homemade, oatmeal cookies to sustain my
"pretend mode."
Geri: That treat sounds yummy, made me crave for those cookies.
Thank you kindly for your time, and I wish you much
success in your writing endeavors!
Lynda: You're welcome.

**INTERVIEW with K.M. DAUGHTERS**

INTERVIEW
Geri: Has a special person in your life inspired you to write?
K.M. Daughters: Our parents inspired us to read, and despite budget
constraints, never refused the treat of book
purchases. Loving books as we did/do, the desire
to create them took root early in life for both of us.
In addition, our father wrote children's stories for
us. He was a first generation American, the son of
Irish immigrant parents, so he possessed a bit of
the "blarney" and a lyrical bent. He must have
passed on a bit of DNA to his girls.
Geri: Who is your favorite author?
K.M. Daughters: We're not hedging, honestly-but the list is enormous,
inside and outside the romance genre. And since
we're a team-the list is doubled. Whose books do
we always snatch up at release and gobble down
immediately? Nora Roberts, Christina Dodd, Brenda
Novak, and Roxanne St. Clair. Also Susan
Elizabeth Phillips, John Iriving(1 of us), Jodi
Picoult(the same 1 of us), John Grisham and
Steve Martini. We also admit to the four book
non-stop, addictive consumption of the Stephanie
Meyer Twilight saga.
Geri: How did you feel the first time you were published?
K.M. Daughters: Crazy excited, pinch us, shout the news over cell
phones. Where can we find an alcoholic beverage?
Smiles plastered to our faces, love the world
happy.
Geri: How many books have you written?
K.M. Daughters: Six manuscripts as a team, all contracted between
our first, THE CALL DATE. January, 26, 2008,
and now. Our inspirational romance titles are
JEWEL OF THE ADRIATIC, and ROSE OF THE
ADRIATIC. Our Sullivan Boys Romantic Suspense
series include to date: AGAINST DOCTORS
ORDERS, BEYOND THE CODE OF CONDUCT,
and CAPTURING KARMA. Five books are planned
in the series. We have one contemporary romance
in Ebook only, entitled PAST, PRESENT, and
FOREVER.
Geri: Did you have favorite books as a child?
K.M. Daughters: A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, The Bobbsey Twins
Series, Cherry Ames Nurse Series, and the
Nancy Drew series.
Geri: Do you have any current work in progress?
K.M. Daughters: Yes, our work in progress is the 4th Sullivan
Boys Series Book. Patrick Sullivan, now a CPD
Captain meets opposing council, C.J. (Charlie)
Demarco in our working title, ALL'S FAIR IN
LOVE AND LAW.
Geri: If you were to write a book in a different genre,
what would it be?
K.M. Daughters: We're planning a mainstream title, which may or
may not include the happily ever after quotient,
essential to the romance sub-genres we write.
Geri: How did you feel at your first book-signing, or
the first time you signed your book?
K.M. Daughters: Awed, and our non-stop smiling was apparent
to us afterward in jaw aching clarity.
Geri: Are your characters from real life, or from the
imagination?
K.M. Daughters: Completely figments of our collective
imaginations. Occasionally, we'll compare a
character's physical traits to someone real.
For example, "He looks like Dr. McSteamy"
or some other he, "Looks like John Cusak."
Geri: As writers, we begin with a manuscript, and end
in promotions. What was your most difficult task?
K.M. Daughters: Promotions, hands down. It remains a perplexing
challenge for us, and we thank you, Geri, for
interviewing us so we can befriend your readers.
We write for our readers. Enabling book buyers
to find us is a gigantic challenge number 1. A huge
disappointment is learning that someone bought
our book, but didn't read it. We're thankful for the
buyer's loyalty and support, of course, but we don't
succeed as writers unless the reading experience
is worth, hopefully far exceeds the cost of the book.
Geri: It is an absolute pleasure, and a great honor to have
you both among our talented authors. You are a
delight to work with, and I wish you both very much
success in your writing achievements. Thank you for todays interview!
K.M. Daughters: You're welcome.

*INTERVIEW with Author LESLIE KOHLER*

It is an honor, and with great pleasure to interview Author Leslie Kohler.
INTERVIEW
Geri: Did a special person in your life inspire you to write?
Leslie: I had two teachers who encouraged me, Mrs. Kesthler, and Mrs.
Morgan.
Geri: When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer?
Leslie: In third grade, I made a book titled "Poems Around The World."
Geri: How many books have you written?
Leslie: One, working on my second.
Geri: Who is your favorite author?
Leslie: Many, but Raymond Chandler is classic.
Geri: As writers, we begin with a manuscript, and end in promotions.
What was your most difficult task?
Leslie: Learning how to promote my book, without spending a fortune.
Social networking is great, because it's free.
Geri: Did you have favorite books as a child?
Leslie: Definitely the Nancy Drew books.
Geri: Do you have any current work in progress?
Leslie: Besides promoting SINS OF THE BORDER, I'm working on a
new mystery titled "DISPOSABLE LIVES."
Geri: Is writing a passion, a stress-reliever, or both?
Leslie: I'd say a passion, as I can't imagine a better way to explore my
inner thoughts, my past, and weave them into a creative tale.
Geri: What factors place you in the comfort zone while writing?
Leslie: The first forty-five minutes, I'm up-and-down, like a jumping
bean. Then I settle into a groove, almonds are always good to
munch on while writing.
Geri: Have you written any books based on a true life story?
Leslie: "SINS OF THE BORDER" is fiction, but several traits of the main
character, Lila, are taken from me.
Geri: Thank you very much for today's interview. I wish you much
success in your writing endeavors.
Leslie: You're welcome.

**INTERVIEW #3 with Author DOMINIQUE WATSON**

It is with great pleasure, and an honor to welcome back
Author Dominique Watson.
INTERVIEW #3
Geri: Have you had the pleasure of discussing your book with a
fan?
Dominique: No, I haven't had that pleasure, but I do discuss it
with interested friends.
Geri: Are you the only writer in your family?
Dominique: Yes I am, well, so far! My four year old loves to write
in her own way, so we'll see!
Geri: Is there a particular author who inspires you to write?
Dominique: James Patterson
Geri: What is the age group for your reading audience?
Dominique: My age group is for anyone. I don't exclude any of my
books, because I believe we all need some
encouragement.
Geri: Do you believe that the cover of a book can draw a
reader in faster to your story?
Dominique: Absolutely, it's just as much important as what's on
the inside.
Geri: In your opinion, what does it take to become
successful?
Dominique: It takes self-discipline, motivation, being able to take
criticism.
Geri: What motivates you to write?
Dominique: My family, life experiences, and stress.
Geri: What books do you read for enjoyment?
Dominique: I like to read books by James Patterson, Deja King,
Vicki Stringer, Nikki turner.
Geri: Has television ever inspired you to write about a
certain topic?
Dominique: Yes! What I see these young ladies doing on TV is
terrible. Our society is going in circles and I love to
encourage women to do something better with
themselves, to not make excuses by saying 'I have
mouths to feed' or 'This is all I can do' because I
know God doesn't promote some of the things we
see on TV. So, watching TV always inspires me to
get up and write, and let my voice be heard.
Geri: Has a particular classical movie ever given you ideas
to write about a new topic?
Dominique: No, not that I know of.
Geri: Thank you very much for today's interview. I wish
you the best in all your writing endeavors.
Dominique: You're welcome.

**INTERVIEW #2 with Author LYNDA COKER**

It is an honor, and a great pleasure to interview Author Lynda Coker.
Author of: "THE OCEAN BETWEEN" 5 Star REVIEW
INTERVIEW
Geri: As writers, we begin with a manuscript, and end in promotions. What was
your most difficult task?
Lynda: For me, it's the writing that's most difficult. I never meet a stranger and can
talk anyone under the table, so that makes promotion easy. Also, I love
helping other writers and that led me to develop a social site named,
Writers and Readers of Distinctive Fiction (WRDF). In heping other writers,
I've ended up creating a wonderful promotional vehicle for myself, as well.
Geri: Are your characters created from people you've known in real life?
Lynda: Maybe, but not seriously. I think writers draw character ideas from people
they meet, without realizing it. Of course, we embellish these characters,
making them display traits we're too reserved to try on our own. How fun
is that?
Geri: As a child, did you have favorite books?
Lynda: Anything with words.
Geri: Have you ever experienced writer's block?
Lynda: Never, but then, I've just started writing. When I get a hundred books on the
shelf, you'll have to ask me that question again.
Geri: Describe how you felt the first time you were published?
Lynda: I wondered what kind of inept people this publisher employed? Seriously,
a writer who is submitting their manuscript must believe in themselves,
but there is always that nasty doubt hanging over our heads. It's a
thrilling validation to hold your first book contract in your hands.
Geri: Thank you very much for your time. I wish you much success in all
your writing endeavors.
Lynda: You're welcome.
